Living in a society that constantly bids for our attention with the messages of not fast enough, not doing enough & not having enough - going against the grain can feel incredibly challenging, lonely & rebellious.

Slow Lane is a place for busy bodies & tired minds to receive deep rest.
A place for you to be held & supported through guided rest practices that allow for safety, regulation and softening. When we live in such fast paced rhythms, it can take time to feel safe in slowing down and resting, but with enough practice and support it is possible. When the body feels safe, the body will naturally meet rest.

The beautiful part of each monthly practice is that you can be in the comfort of your own home & even better, you're own bed. Florence guides a blend of somatic experiences to tend to you as a WHOLE being not just the physical. Moving through sensory, yoga nidra meditation, visualisation, body sensing, music and silence.

Each deep rest practice we will move with a monthly intention that speaks to parts of our body, our human needs, womanhood and relationship to self.
You are not bad at resting, your body just hasn't felt safe to do so.
Our bodies hold memories. So much more than our minds. And when we realise this we begin to learn that to take care of ourselves, means taking REAL care of our bodies.

We hold innate wisdom within and yet we live in such a noisy world that we can often not hear ourselves. Through the incredible ancient practice of Yoga Nidra Meditation, Somatic bodywork, breath practice and unhurried moments we are able to reclaim this wisdom.

Each monthly rest session you are guided to reconnect back to your body in a soft, gentle and healing way. Through the practice of experiencing true intentional moments of slowing down we begin to create safety within our bodies.

Yoga Nidra is the practice of bringing deep awareness to our physical, mental and energetic bodies through comfort, breath and guidance. It is believed that just 45 minutes of yoga nidra meditation can feel like 4 hours of sleep! I can not think of anywhere more in need of this deep rest than Mothers. And while it isn't practiced to put you to sleep, this does happen often and is so common because we are SO tired. The more we practice though, we begin to experience this space of bliss which in in between waking and sleep where your body is so deeply relaxed it feels asleep but your mind is still awake and conscious. In this bliss state so much restoration and healing happens all the way down to the cellular level.

This is why women will often sit up in Rest Classes and feel completely like a new person, because you are.

The details & how things work
Monthly live rest practice
Each month we gather online for our guided rest practice. Each month we look to a theme and our rest practice supports this. These sessions will go for a duration of 75 minutes. You don't need anything other than a quiet space to lay down, blanket for warmth and pillow for comfort. All rest practice sessions are recorded and made available for you to replay as many times as you need.
Ongoing Membership
This community is open for you to join us at anytime, because rest is not a one time thing, it is a forever need and practice. Wherever you are in your journey of Rest, The Slow Lane is a potent support for you to gently invite more moments of slow, rest & time inwards.
What happens on the LIVE rest practices
These sessions are completely guided and gentle. We will begin always will a grounding and soft breath practice, then we lay down for the guided yoga nidra rest practice & followed by unwinding and returning/waking up. We will have an oracle card pull at the end of the session as well as time to reflect before we close.
Private podcast access
Within your membership you will have free access to a private podcast. All the recording audios will be uploaded into here so you can access them with ease. There will also be monthly podcast episodes dropped throughout the month sharing mini meditations, personal stories, deeply inspiring and insightful conversations with women, energy readings & rest reminders.
Rest Community
Your membership will also include joining our Membership Community Chat group. A place to meet like minded women, ask questions and share in meaningful conversations. This group is held on Telegram and the link will be invited to you upon joining.

Meet Florence
As someone who deeply craved a place to simply take off hats, turn down the noise for a moment and just be, The Slow Lane has truly come from my own desire of reclaiming my own pace & honouring it. I have been holding Rest Experiences for women for the past 5 years both in person and online as classes, workshops and Retreats. I have met women 100's of women now who have felt the call to hop off the hamster wheel. I hope The Slow Lane meets you in that craving of a life that feels full, but with less noise.

Answering some questions you may have
What date does my membership renew each month?
The membership is processed every month, the date you join will be the date you are charged each month.

What happens when I join?
You will receive an onboarding email 24 hours within joining. This will give you the details to join the group community chat, the links to join our live monthly calls & access the private podcast.
​
Are the live calls only at 8pm Sydney time?
All times given are SYDNEY time. Majority will be evening calls so it can support our natural rhythms of rest. I will be changing to different days so suit the community as well as having some calls being morning times to suit.

​Can I get the Rest Bundle box later or only when I am signing up?
You can purchase the Rest Bundle anytime as an add on. These are limited though so only a number of boxes are created for each season. Every season is a different rest box with different products.

Do I need to have experience in Meditation?
Nope! No experience at all is needed. The Meditations shared are purely for rest, relaxation and reconnecting to self through guidance, breath and reflection.
​
Is this membership only for Mums?
No. This membership has been curated with others in mind and supporting them through the challenges that keep them from resting, but is for ANY woman needing more moments of rest but struggles to do so.
​
Is this only for women and mothers in Sydney?
Nope you can join from anywhere in the world. Please note the rest bundles are only available for postage within Australia at the moment.

The group chat community is also a place for connection, sharing and reaching out for any support. It is a safe and closed container where each member signs a Privacy Form upon joining the Membership to honour that anything shared is not to be taken outside of the space chat.
