What is yoga?

The word "Yoga" means union and refers to the direct experience of our own wholeness at every level. Yoga is a practice including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practised for health and relaxation. With so many different teachers and the widespread of Yoga as a tool of mental wellbeing, there are many different views for Yoga. Yoga allows our mind, body and breath to move and become one. 

Yoga Offerings 

Group Classes: No experience necessary

Each class is led by Florence whose style of teaching encourages slowing down, building strength, moving mindfully and finding our inner calm through emphasis on breath. Florence believes with the world on busy mode, she challenges her students to bring their awareness to the sensations in their body while in poses rather than how fast they move through their practice. Constantly reminding her students to come back to their breath and move with ease and intention rather than from a place of need and stress. Each class in inspired by Yang/Yin Yoga by taking the class through poses that encourage energy to arise and then ending the class with grounding poses to bring calm and allow for rest.

Class duration 60mins

Group Bookings can be made for 3 or more people.

Deep Rest: No experience necessary. 

This a smaller/intimate session for an individual/couple where it is held at my own home or your home depending on booking. When Florence began teaching Yoga in 2018, she noticed many students telling her the same thing each class.. "I am so tired!". Florence decided to integrate the practice of Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Healing Music to provide space for people with busy minds and tired bodies to come to find deep healing rest in a safe environment. Beginning with a meditation, moving through 2-3 restorative poses and finding rest for 30mins in Savasana. Savasana is our final resting pose. Florence creates an ambience of calm with candles, healing music, yoga mats, blankets and bolsters to ensure you are fully supported, warm, safe and calm. The intention of this Deep Rest Session is to to leave you feeling rejuvenated, calm and back to feeling like yourself! 

Each class varies to suit the individuals/couples needs. (Note: this has been an incredible offering for new mums/parents who come to me depleted and just need someone to hold space for them to release tension and sometimes..even just have an undisturbed nap!)
